I used to have an orange Mk 1 back in the day. A very cool bike if you were a kid but ridiculously heavy. Any idea how the new ones (alu frame, v-brakes, bar shifters etc) compare ?
yes £800, All the parts are iv got are ether NOS (new old stock) or Raleigh originals in mint condition ,No copies or any parts that have been re-chromed,
when its done the only thing that's not going to be original on the bike is the paint,

Wow! I can remember how as a kid I'd dream of owning a Raleigh Chopper. I can recall them being displayed in Shallcross's window on Laird Street and costing £32 10s 6d... Way too expensive so sadly, I never did fulfil my dream of getting one.
