Very interesting. Just watched this enjoyed it.Missed last night's forgot it was on.Watching so last century about toys from last century,some of the stuff on it doesn't seem so long ago

BBC 2. Watching Leningrad and the Orchestra.
My gosh ! There is not so much music as mainly the history of Russia. It was horrific for years. Starvation particularly was everywhere. Starving babies fed on boiled maze. When taken to the doctors one mother was advised not to leave her baby alone as children were being kidnapped for food.(from the doctors !) Cannibalism was rife. People dropping dead where they stood from starvation and cold. Stalin said One death is tragic, one million deaths is a statistic. Cannibalism was still ongoing after the 2nd world war, until the Soviet Union collapsed.
Horrific stories being related.
