How can I find out about train fares from Liverpool to London in 1957? Thank you for any help.

Ah Granny you`re a star. Thank you. I did try but didn`t get anywhere. I`ll show my friend. She`ll be thrilled.

£2/17/6p in pre-decimal (sterling).
Could be about half a weeks wages for some people at the time.
I was thinking of a factor of 100. So £2.88 would be £288 now. Which still works out at about half a weeks wages for some people now.
