How can I find out about train fares from Liverpool to London in 1957? Thank you for any help.

£2/17/6p in pre-decimal (sterling).

Could be about half a weeks wages for some people at the time.

I was thinking of a factor of 100. So £2.88 would be £288 now.
Which still works out at about half a weeks wages for some people now.
