They didn't put Coscast engines in 93 onward cars. It'll be stamped on the block if it is.  You could always buy one of these, and then sell the bits off making your money back: Cavalier GSi Cavalier GSi Astra GTE I can help you out putting it in if you get it, save paying out. It'll only take a day or two.

if i go one id wanna make sure its dun properly. hav you dun this conversion b4? surely its more then a mater of just swopin engines? brakes? mounts etc etc
i wudnt hav the money to buy a whole car an its lukin like i wnt b able to afford the enigne either at this rate

Cars that already have the engine in go for about 2 - 3 grand though! I've done engines before, I even 'helped' my dad do one when I was about 8. If you need any help, I'd be willing to help you out.
