Went there as a school kid in 1970s . There is/was also an old swimming pool in woods not far from there. something to do with scouts--may have goen when they put M53 spur in

I think I have pictures of the swimming pool at the back of the scout hut in a moreton history book. I'll see if I can dig them out.

Wow, I remember the swimmimg pool, I camped out here with the Scouts in the 1960's. It was in what used to be the wooded area, behind the new building which is now a childrens nursery, it was on the Moreton side of the M53 spur. Great photos.

Must have been very cold there today.Been in that grave yard last year and it does look really neglected shame really.Did you take any pics for us to share?Dilly.Flaybrick is nice place to have a walk also.

Yes it was interesting walk to-day, thanks to Uptonx for info and hand outs ,nice to meet up with new people. The weather was 'with' us .Looking forward to more gatherings in the future .Any ideas people, a few of us fancy a 'proper' walk.The photos are great!!
