just heard there's been an armed robbery at the co op on laird street.dont know anything else, thank goodness my grandaughter doesn't work there any more.

I live righ next to the Co-op on Laird Street and there was an ambulance and a few police cars there coz it got robbed. There have been a few shops in Wallasey and Rock Ferry that have been robbed this week.

Yes i can confirm that i was there and yes it was a robbery. I was slapped around and threatened. There was around 5 lads maybe six not sure. I am a little shaken by the whole thing but i am not giving in although i have been advised to take time off work i wont because why should i loose money for some fools. CID are investigating and have taken statements from my self and colleague. Regards Lee..
