I am awaiting delivery of extra RAM for my laptop and now feel my machine is up to the job of running Windows 7. (Can't wait to ditch Vista!)

Does anybody know of any cheap (legitimate) sources for a legal copy of Windows 7? Any information greatly received.

Thanks.

Hey, I can get software for a little cheaper because I'm a student. Let me know if this is cheap enough.

You know Windows 7 Is actually more RAM efficient than Vista so you could have upgraded your OS without upgrading your RAM.

They do but you should have updates disabled. As a home user you don't need to waste time with windows updates. They'll break more things than they fix and won't do a thing to help you with security.
