hi just a heads up, anyone know if you can use a usb harddrive to rec stuff from a skybox as it as got two usb things, thanks.

you can plug in an external sata drive to sata port on back of sky + hd box, i know this cause mine is pluged in and working

You can connect any USB device to any USB port on any device but it may not work! Indeed, the 5v power rail on TopUp TV boxes (or indeed any set top box or other USB socket with a live power rail) will make any USB device operate, but you try doing anything with them, without an interface being written into the software, the device is useless. Even more fascinating on the TUTV boxes, plug a mobile phone in, and it will actually discharge the battery haha! What can I say, our programmers are shit!
