Who can see themselves changing there cars in the next 12 months.
With fuel prices going up and the cost of living rising most people are finding it hard to run 1 car let alone 2 or even 3 cars (Mr Mac)
I run the focus most of the time and worked out im getting 50mpg most of the time so i'm happy with that. however the calibra is another story. hardly use it so £30 of fuel lasts about 2-3 weeks.
So anyone running a 2000cc car must be finding it harder and harder to run. So who is realistically looking to sell up and downgrade soon.

Yes but even that is going up slowly.
i can;t run the focus on that so i'm forced to pay 114.9 for diesel in some places or as low (ha ha ha ha) as 112.9.

Im kinda stuck between a rock, and a hard place.
The BMW isnt that bad on the fuel - low 40's round town, 50 on a run, but I need something big, heavy, and with some grunt to tow the race car...
The Nissan, well Im lucky to see 20mpg from that, but hey, I dont really drink, so if some people can piss £50 up the wall once a week, I can get my own enjoyment from putting £50 of fuel in per week.

Forgot the civic was race only, but it must be hard for you mate, i find it a pain running two, but suppose your the same don't run the 180 that much and the diesel is the work horse, does make things easier.
How much fuel you need for the civic on race days?? you worked it out yet ??

The Civic is still road legal End of Feb Nissan needed taxing, End of March the Honda needed taxing.... it not just fuel costs Not sure about Fuel it will use in a race yet - prolly covering 30 miles per race, 2 gallons maybe, £12, Half a tank.... Though Ill keep more fuel in the car than needed to try and stop fuel surge in the bends I can put £30 of V-Power in the Nissan somenights and burn it all off in a couple of hours

What size tyres you on matey? Ill be removing a pretty decent set of 195/50/15s soon from the Civic to get a set of Toyo 888's Fitted.

Mines not on the road and it's costing me at least £250 a month Garage: £30 Insurance: £180 Petrol: £40 It goes through a tenner of petrol a week just idling. Plus I have the cost of buying parts and tools (this week, £100), just paid for it to have an MOT, £35, 6 months tax will then cost me £100. Should have got a Honda....

er 2500 quid this last month.. I get through about 150 to 200 quid of diesel a month...depending on how many times I go see my mum/walking in lakes or Snowdonia...or how hard/often I give it a thrashing... Work milage is only about 250 ish miles per month...so about 50 quid in diesel...but I no longer have the tunnel!!!
Just on a side note..the works cars are costing us so much in juice we are going to 530Ds....
the VXR gamble hasnt paid off...but looks like ill be gettin my hands on a 530d 08 plate v soon!
