Aint gonna happen... the people living either side are the main user's, commuting to Liverpool and Brikenhead.
Relatively little national traffic uses the tunnel's compared to the local commuters, despite the direct link-up to the M53.
They have just increased their pricing to meet cost's, any discount would either mean the overall cost of the tunnels would then have to rise, defeating the object of the discount, or the tunnel's will cease to exist.
Can you honestly see them cutting say 80% of their income partially or completely, just because a few local residents have complained about the price.
People, businesses and media have been complaining and petitioning for over a decade now, just about the high cost of the tunnel's, and the only place that has ended up, is with further price increases.
