Dunno if the thing will be weakened by being bent back into place, but it looks fine.

Love it, will it pass an MOT, was it a write off, if so did it need a VIC ??

I dont think it needed a VIC because the insurance company never asked for the logbook? The agreement was they paid ste out, and he could pay for it to be repaired etc.

The VIC doesnt check the standard of the work anyway, just that the work has been done and the car isnt a cut and shut. I think they only need to do a VIC if the insurance company has siezed the V5? Not sure on that though.

No ANPR plod have said anything to him and he had a few behind him since he fixed it.

Not sure on the MOT front, as I say, I dont know if it will have substantially weakened it or not, as usually it retains most of the strength being bent, but weakens it more when its bent back?

Well only time will tell.

If car wasn't a write off cat B or C then no VIC will have to be done, if he was paid a cash in lieu then he is free to do as he wishes with the car.

As you say the bending back is the killer not the original bending.
