I think Ben means smooth the boot and paint the black strip back on. That's not a bad idea imo.

definetly smooth looks similar too teh rear of the Evo 8 maybe get vauxhall letters on back?

smooth looks better but i see your point about the strip as the lights are taller than the black strip if you make it smooth you could put some black film the same hight as the lights on the boot then you could put some cool grafix on the black around the number plate
