Canon MG5350 printer wired USB to Dell Inspiron N5110 laptop:
The test printout of lattice and colour strips is perfect but prints recently from the computer have random blank strips across in b&w and colour prints. I've cleaned and deep cleaned, washed through the head, put in new ink pots, checked the USB cable, swapped the USB cable, tried every print mode and still can't cure the problem.
The printer has had a busy 4 years so is something likely to be life-expired?
Any ideas please?

From what you have said, it sounds like a software problem. It could be needing a software update or firmware update.

Have you changed the operating system from say windows 7 to windows 10.

Re install printer drivers as they could be corrupt but still working.

Thanks, Mark. I haven't changed from Windows 7 yet. I will check those other items.

Updating and cleaning seem to solve the problem, so thanks again.
