got a laptop now and thanks to matty lfc we mannaged to get it working. have purchased some magnum grp seats and all the interior has been removed. Have spoke to a local company who has qouted me £145 for my door cards to be made in carbon fibre, will be getting the dash done aswell. With the engine I was going to use dellorto dhla 45s turbo spec but have decided to try a metro turbo carb as these are a similar cc to the herald I think it will be fine. I dont really want to spend any more on it at the moment as am totally f..ked off with the sh.te paintjob. Had no responce from the bodyshop after letters so had to pay the other day for a automotive engineer to come and inspect it. He did a great job and agreed it was awfull am just waiting for him to get back. He told me to rectify it would be the whole job over again. He even jacked the car up and inspected the welding on the arches where they flare out and well lets just say it looks like pigeon dropings. It will definatley be getting another respray but not going back to where I had it done. Heres a pic of the carb I bought tonight.

the metro turbo carbs are good for around 200hp, with a few people using them at around 230-245hp. just make sure you get the gubbins right. shame to hear about the paint job.

Someone told me about this car a while ago. Sounds mental.
I had a Vitesse 2 litre about 18 months ago and loved it to bits. It was a mk1 though, so dodgy suspension. Axle steer was mad, and i was going round a roundabout once (sideways) and the rear wheel dug in and gripped, then there was a slight moment where the rear spring bent then suddenlt flicked back putting the car on two wheels. Luckily i was expecting it but if i wasnt i wouldve ended up on the roof.
Id still have another one anyday though, with a 2.5 and triple 45's.
I HATE cars.
