Yeah, you can buy a "Bolt On" Turbo but would have to manufacture the pipework and fittings yourself  Also you could only run a maximum of approx 7 p.s.i. Boost without altering the engine internals, fuel system and e.c.u. settings Originally posted by GTI180:

Im sure theres a topic on the workings and info on turbo's. This post really was just to highlight the crazy prices some companys charge which not many modders could afford. Anybody else been quoted silly prices for work? No company names included though!

scooby do u know of a weird little "supercharger" device that is just 12v driven compressor blade in a bit of hose which bolts on in the middle of ur intake tract. ive heard it gives u a small power gain when ur foot is on the floor cos the compressor spins up but when at 1/2 throttle etc performance is worsens due to the fact u have a massive static obstruction in ur pipes.Know wot its called n e 1?
