The wife has an Android tablet and just after it passed being 12 months old it hit a problem charging up.
If you wiggle the charger in the power port you used to be able to get the blue light on to indicate it was charging, but this has got gradually worse to the point where it no longer charges.
Anyone know where it could be taken for repair and a rough idea of cost

Are you certain it is the socket and not the power supply?,as it often is ,in my experience.

Check the charging port on the tablet is not blocked with debris (bits of fluff) shine a torch in there, if you have a can of compressed air give the port a few blasts.
My wife mobile developed a similar fault and it was blocked like above a blast of air cured the problem.
