Forums Forums Street News Vicious Assault By Taxi Driver--Hamilton Square

Saturday night around 11:45 a taxi pulled up near Hamilton Square and the passenger got out (obviously without paying the correct fair according to the words shouted by the taxi driver) The taxi driver got out of his taxi and just went up to the man (who had obviously had had a beer or 2) and punched him straight in the face. The man went down and cracked his head open on the pavement and was rushed to hospital. May have been a chester taxi driver as the guy had been to chester races.Also heavily covered by cctv according to police
Probably not the wisest way to settle your grievance could easily end up on a murder/manslaughter case.

jesus christ, that taxi driver is a complete knob. hope he gets his just rewards, and his license revoked.

actually a taxi driver was assaulted and racially attacked on monday by some wallasey people so shoes on the other foot here.

if people want to get a taxi they should have the right fare not take the piss.

this taxi driver has probably had enough of fare dodgers, after all it is his job

I think you should wait for the facts before you have the driver lose his job,the norm is the passengers abusing the drivers who are out to earn a living.

Im sorry but either way the driver should not have done what he did!! Taxi drivers are well within their rights to ask for a fare upfront if the passeneger is drunk or going a long distance. Taxi drivers complete a special NVQ and are able to deal with this sort of thing. No way should it resulted in violence.

Yes I agree with you Sally violence is not the right thing, but as I said let's wait for the facts before we convict him, it could be he was not the first to offer violence , I know they do NVQs but some times there is only so much s::t you can take before you crack.

Here is another wirral taxi driver assaulted I wont write what i was going to about taxi drivers, as i would get permanent ban.

As for the nvq it teaches you nothink to do with people who are drunk abusive or coked up to the eye balls the nvq was a total waste of goverment money and taxi drivers time
