As this has been a major issue in the past few weeks on social media, I thought I should warn those of you who do not know.
It has been released today that anyone that has shared or uploaded the pictures of James Bulger's killers Jon Venables and Robert Thompson could be prosecuted.
I think this is disgusting. They killed an innocent child and are being protected for it. Now people who want justice that our systems couldn't give are being punished for sharing their identities.
I just thought you should all know as it is not worth risking court/fines/prison/criminal records for 2 low lives that deserve to rot in hell.

Agree with you 100% ... of the earth and deserve to rot in hell.
Trouble is posting pics and the like on social media is that the person in the picture may not be venebles or thompson and could just be someone with a grudge against someone who is innocent

Trouble is posting pics and the like on social media is that the person in the picture may not be venebles or thompson and could just be someone with a grudge against someone who is innocent pretty much this also the fact that ok what they did was wrong, but (according to the law) they have served their sentence and so any further punishment is unjust. if it were me and i had committed a crime when i was younger, and served a sentence and then wanted to start my life afresh, i wouldn't want people bringing up my past and posting pictures of me on the internet... there's 2 sides to every story, remember that.

if it were me and i had committed a crime when i was younger, and served a sentence and then wanted to start my life afresh, i wouldn't want people bringing up my past and posting pictures of me on the internet... there's 2 sides to every story, remember that. I get that but what they did can never be forgotten. It's not like the crime they committed was stealing sweets from a shop, they tortured an innocent child and killed him. You could argue that if a 20-something did the same and was given the same treatment, would it still be a mistake that happened in their youth when they were in their forties/fifties when they all know right and wrong?

Didn't someone comit suicide because someone posted a pic of him saying he was one off them this is why pics shouldn't be posted the 2 off them will get what they deserve sooner or later

good point j_demo - however didn't one of them get arrested for some child porn offence? Looks like that one didn't learn anything about right or wrong whilst being detained at Her Majesty's pleasure.....

Bethan i think you need to get the story right before posting !!
It states that anyone putting up pictures of men saying this is one of the James Bulger's killers will be prosecuted. And i totally agree as it is disgraceful putting up a picture of an innocent man and targeting him.
