True. It was also alleged that they spent £140 000 on that utterly ridiculous 'Out of the Blue' event, in New Brighton, last week.

Perhaps Wirral Tourist Board might like to promote it. Been enough money spent down New Brighton to attract people down there. How about all the bikes turning up at the Bike Show thats been happening in Irby village at The shippons the past few years.That would effectively grid lock the area.

Maybe if they set up a just giving page for individuals to contribute to the costs of running the egg run that were previously covered by the sponsors.
Not sure if they already have one for donations to the charity.

article in the globe confirming its cancelled. But sounded very nasty towards any "Unofficial" bike run. The event organisers were saying that some bikers "only see it as a social event and dont bother to donate (money that is)" Apparently "Egg Run" is an official name you cant use without fear of litigation from the organisers and charity commission. How about the "Runny egg" instead

considering the very first egg run was done by the empress club in new brighton it has developed into one of the biggest bike meets in the uk today
