Yes it will cost a fortune I passed in may and finally tonight just completed the pass plus scheme all though I'm already paying over £2,500 for my insurance which will now be getting changed if that does not reduce for me so id say you have a good price there I used a company but they are crap as to get in touch with a human on the phone is 0906 number at £1.50 per min :-(

Another way to lower insurance prices is to increase you excesses (if you can afford to ). My daughter managed to knock a couple of hundred off hers by doing this.

Insurance prices are disgusting these days. The govermeny bang on about lowering our carbon foot print and saving the environment and yet they let insurance companies price new drivers out of buying newer environmentally friendly cars by charging extortionate prices and taking all peoples money.

Cheapest i found was the Co-op via price comparison sites on the net,Its for my second eldest who was under 25, licence held for less than 12 months Astra sxi £2200

Which as steep as it was, i suppose was quite reasonable considering some wanted double that figure

Be sure to shop around smile smile

Hi, im with ingene insurance. they fitted a black box into the car which measures how hard i use the accelerator, wheel and how often i use indicators and use excessive speed. if you drive at a good standard your monthly premium comes down etc. well worth a look

I got sick of the fortunes insurance companies demand, so I bought a 21 year old car and have classic insurance £200 a year, car was £500. Not sure if this would apply to younger drivers, or if you want to drive an older car, Its cheap though!
