Last night was of course the first eviction of BB13, and it saw vegan animal rights campaigner Victoria Eisermann shown the door, while Wildcard entrant Becky Hannon made a very excited entrance…
But as the wine flowed – and the champagne, and the beer, and the cider; you get the gist – things became tense between housemates Caroline Wharram and Deana Uppal, who, though their chats seemed benign enough to begin with, turned on each other the higher their booze-o-meters climbed.
Deana said that Caroline was “sly” and added that other “naïve” housemates need to watch out for her because she will “f**k them up.”
Yikes!
Meanwhile, Caroline, whose hair is still very much inexplicable, said, “I am not malicious, I’m telling you.”
O well, good enough then Caroline. As long as you’re telling her, that must mean it’s true…
As things became ever more awkward between tipsy housemates Deana and Caroline, their fellow HMs Ashleigh, Scott and Becky headed off to be the bedroom to gossip about what was going on.
Becky said, “What went on then? Can we ask them or is it a bit of a touchy situation?”
But cool as a cucumber Arron – who was similarly unfazed by his own recent row with Victoria – said simply, “You know what them two are like.”
One assumes he meant they have a propensity to err on the side of high drama when pi**ed.
And while all that was going on, chirpy chappy Chris James was going for gold in the booze Olympics event for Best Binge, and were it a recognised event, he most certainly would have taken top honours. The boy done good.
But this morning, when even the sound of his duvet rustling hurt his head, he vowed to stay away from the demon drink forever.
He said, “Next time we’re getting alcohol I think I’m going to step back and watch.”
And in a classic fit of drinker’s remorse, he remembered, “I ended up having arguments with Luke, and he’s a brilliant mate.”
We’ve all been there Chris, don’t beat yourself up about it. That’s our job.
