I can hack marmite in small doses, reminds me of the "malt" we were given as kids just after the war. It was a supplement to give us the required vitamins I think.

Yeah Tony, it was thick browny goo and we had to have it because it was good for us. I'm still here so it didn't do me any harm but I put being here down to the beer.

Yes Bandy my dad used to make us have Malt and cod liver oil on a spoon ,i person i wouldn`t argue with so we just had to have it and i`m still here

There was another one my Mother used to give me on a tea spoon. I can't think of it's name but it was very sweet, brown and syrupy. Anyone know what it might have been. I'll know it when I hear ( or read ) it.
