aye that i am (sort of). always wanted one and now i sort of got one, just can't wait till i get it on the road!

the week i have raised the front end!


also had to chop the front arch otherwise my front end would flip!



as i am already too earger to put it on the road i did a small mock up on the front





i also plan to re-bumper the front soon like i have done the back, but its a bit harder than just putting a new pannel on!

I just know its going to be awsome when done,
lots of hours to go.

this week includes.........
tride fitment of my lovely boot! had to extend it so i wouldn't have big gaps and have leaks in the boot!


also managed to source a righthand tank of ebay, although tis not genuine it does the same job for a fraction of the price! cut the hole for the neck, just slightly out so will be working on that soon ish


also done a few more bits and bobs! just trying not to rush as i want this looking good when its finished!

should be very nippy, the mini weights around 700kg fully laden i think, and am planning to get a 1380 engine which should produce around 110hp if i set it up right. worked out the power to weight ratio and compared to my old mk5 escort i would have needed 200hp to keep up with this! obviously just a rough estimate as gear ratios will be different as other factors are!

sounds like a quality little car being built liek webby says makes interesting reading watching everythin take place step by step, cant wait to see the end result as im sure you cant! keep up the good work, will be worth the blood and sweat when its finished

not much been happening recently, just the annoying odd jobs left to do. removed my fiberglass front to do some final hole fills and finishing off.



latest purchase was these mirrors



keep with the mini theme! they are identicle to the spc sold by demon tweeks but don't cost as much!

I might have mag wheels for a mini need a good clean thought.

today pushed my car out to let some air into it! also needed to clean the piles of shit gathering underneath it! also had a chance to get some pics of it in the daylight.



with the worst part of the work now over i reckon i shall be sending it away to be sprayed by the end of march hopefully. managed to attempt the re-bumpering of the front, it looks ok from the distance but when you get close the gaps don't. need to concentrate on the front arches now as i have chopped them the need some adjusting so they line up snuggly. due to it being injection moulded plastic nothing sticks to it so may need to get fiberglass ones.
