Kids never used to be driven to school or driven to their friends' houses, they walked.
Kids never used to be stuck in their bedrooms playing computer games, they played out.
Kids were never fed junk food because their parents were too lazy to prepare a meal, all mums could cook.
No wonder there are so many fat kids.

To be fair, I don't think the amount of children killed by strangers has changed since the 1950s. Most children are killed by people they know ie family members, family friends etc. I agree about speeding cars though.
