My doggies have turned into a pair of breakdancers, either that or they have fleas! frown
Can anybody recommend a good flea treatment, please?

Yes, drontal. It's quite expensive but worth it. And don't forget a bug bomb to kill the strays on the carpets etc smile

you cant beat frontline imo
its worth the extra pennies coz in the long run it ends up cheaper
the chemists now stock it too

I think you'll find that Drontal is for worms, not fleas...

Get shut of the fleas with whatever you use then give 'em a garlic pearl once or twice a week.
No more return visits from the flea brigade guaranteed......

Front line has changed its formula, it is not as effective now. Hence, why it is being sold elsewhere. Your vet will help you out, approx same price as front line. Hope this helps x

H'm. Wonder how you would get a garlic pearl in a cat?

I don't know if it is any good for intense outbreaks, but when I noticed a couple of fleas on my moggy a few years ago, I used Wilkinson stuff (and replaced her old, deteriorating flea-collar), and sprayed the whole flat with flea-spray.

Seemed to get it under control within a day or so, never to be seen again.

The Wilkinson stuff was a liquid capsule type thing, put it on the neck, think there was two capsules, use the second one 4 or 6 weeks later?

If you want to know just google "How to give a cat a tablet", and for your keyboards sake don't have a drink whilst you read it laugh

I've always found Mandy at Swift As A Bird (644 0554) to be good for things like this, she has quite a range of different flea treatments not just the one size fits all you might find elsewhere.

If you have no luck with other suggestions you might want to give her a call.

I can't advise what to use, I don't use any flea, worms treatments on my dogs. They are all fed raw food,so these chemical things are not nessesary
