OP atw1960 Enthusiast Joined: Feb 2010 Posts: 145 birkenhead	Does anyone remember the cottage on Ford Hill?It was about halfway down as you head toward the junction with Westwood Road. It was still standing in the 70's , I think.

uptoncx Veteran Joined: May 2008 Posts: 683 Likes: 1 Wirral	It was originally part of Bidston Court, before the house was dismantled and moved to Hillbark (see this thread). The house on Ford Hill didn't burn down, it was demolished after the owner died, as the only access was considered dangerous. Most of the timbers, and many of the fittings, were recovered by a reclamation company when it was demolished. Last edited by uptoncx; 19th May 2010 9:32pm.
