I remember this place when it opened as The Gallery in 78/79 - it was a great place - good bands and a good crowd . You could get off your face just by inhaling the 'atmosphere'

http://www.butterworth01.f2s.com/ I went there about half a dozen times. One of my mates was a member. The bands I saw there were Wardog, Quatrain, and The EF Band.
The Gallery's claim to fame was that the first line-up of Iron Maiden played there.

wow iam sure i remember adrian smith was gonna play there in the early 90s or did i imagine it,He didnt turn up anyway lol
