Wirral Show organisers promise a weekend of non-stop action and family fun THE organisers of the Wirral Show are promising a weekend of non-stop action and family fun!The show, now in its 33rd year, takes place on Saturday and Sunday on New Brighton Dips. The programme of entertainment in the main arena includes pageantry, daredevil displays of skill and nerve and sporting challenges for all ages. Headlining the aerial part of the show will be the Yakovlevs aerobatics display team flying their Russian-designed Yak aircraft, while the Royal Artillery’s Black Knights parachute team are returning by popular demand. There will also be military displays and sporting challenges for all ages. Show chairman Mike Emberton said: “This is a family day out and some people who first came to the show when they were children are now bringing their own youngsters to enjoy the thrills and fun we have on offer.” A new attraction this year is the Sound Stage, which will showcase local musicians. There will also be performances from the award-winning Funkstar dance troupe. THE WIRRAL NEWS

The problem I find with the rides at "fairgrounds" is once you have paid the extortionate fee's for a few of them, you may as well have gone to a proper Theme Park instead and enjoyed unlimited riding of much better and higher quality rides/experiences.
Some of the rides are okay, but none are anything to write home about, they are budget quality and should have budget pricing. The Wild Mouse is the only ride that stands out to me as being decent from that list.
If only all the amusements companies got together and introduced a wristband system or similar for big events like this, might make it worth the money then...
It's probably exciting to the folk on the NPL forums, because they are still getting over the loss of "Storm", a lame-arse ZL42 and are replacing it with the "Wild Cat", which is an even worse Z40 (no L meaning not even a hint on an inversion, not to mention a smaller ride lol)!!
