ebay, theres someone on there who strips them and sells off the parts. (cheapest) Type your model number in and see what comes up

LOL - I phoned the guy in Bromborough - SRU Computers - he said a standard 15.4" would cost about £120 fitted, £100 if you don't have it fitted. I laughed and said I could probably buy a new laptop for a bit more than that.

Fitting is easy, just lift any rubber stoppers you will find screws under there. and its normally just a single wire connector ok maybe 2.
But would save you £40 trying it yourself, before you pay someone £40 to take over.

Its a 15.4". Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo A1650G. Anyone got a spare 15.4" screen knocking around? I'm sure I'd have no prob fitting it (I've built a PC from scratch and fitted extra RAM in the laptop not long ago).

seems a bit of a trend with Fujistu Siemens screens.
£120 fitted doesnt seem that bad, I was quoted £100 just to look at the broken screen on my wifes laptop.

I've been looking on ebay and cheapest I can find so far is 61.99 but then they want £10 postage too. It will get fixed eventually. In the mean time I will be the proud owner of a Samsung NC10 from Monday Nice
