I was looking at the Deeds to my mothers house the other day and on that map is Brill street fantastic.. The map answers a long awaited question was the house older than 100 years and yes it is ive found out that 6 houses in brill street are dated 1890 and the rest are later houses.. On the corner of brill street used to be a Church called St Annes Parish church where the car park for the Cavendish Enterprise centre is (Brassey Street School) thanks for posting this map dava fantastic happy

The most interesting feature for me on that map is the Connah's Quay railway line, which was actually opened in 1896, but it also shows the proposed branch to Central station, which was never built, although it was almost resurrected in the 30's & even considered in the 60's.
A great map historically, but with a number of omissions.

Slight correction regarding that church that use to be on the corner of Brill Stret. It was St Anne's Mission Church. St Anne's Parish church is still standing and is between Beckwith Street and St Anne's Street a hundred yards down Beckwith street from Duke street. The Parish Church of St Anne was built and in use by 1850

Good spot jimbob thumbsup

There's a real danger that the left will drag Britain back to the 1970s, with secure well-paid jobs, ample housing, properly-funded NHS and social care, free tuition, student grants, final salary pensions, affordable rail fares and fabulous films and music. David Osland 2025

I must say Mark, thank you thumbsup
Now that is the the type of post I wish was contributed a bit more
It is a shame not more enthusiasm is shown to the history section as has been in the past
The history of our past has too much to offer to get bored with and more is to be discovered
The old topics have more to offer and are never exhausted with a new eye
