Unless of course, it is Coal House or Castaway 2000, now thats what I call television!!

Hmmmm the Beeb should either...

a. commission a new Castaway, but not like the 2007 shite, the original one, again on Taransae (sp?), and for a year again, or at least 6 months or so.

or

b. Re-broadcast Castaway 2000 and show as much of it as they can, maybe a weekly thing. I seem to recall it was only monthly, although it worked out at like 8 episodes in the last few months cos it was dead popular, so they should be able to show it weekly or twice weekly and make a darn good series out of it

Never really watched Castaway i just cant get into watching people.. Know if it was watching CCTV of birkenhead then yer thats Reality TV in it self

Man it was amazing, it wernt like the shite you see nowadays, Big Brother, Castaway 2007 etc, it was a real "social experiment" rather then watching people, to see if a group of 24 or so people, all from different area's and backgrounds, could build a community on a remote Island off the coast of Scotland (the outer Hebridies iirc), with the limited resources etc that they had.

It worked very well, there was few arguments etc, nothing blown out of proportion, no need for stupid actors and glamour model wannabes etc, just plain ordinary people, some families etc...

Thats the one, Ben Fogle, ah the wonders of Google, well it was his appearance on Castaway 2000 that got him recognised by the BBC, which led to him being a presenter on Countryfile etc, think he may have done a yatch race round the world or two as well?
