the steps pictures are part of the old vyner estate and have no connection to the tunnels am afraid

Errmmm, if anyone is trying to dig under that concrete, just be carefull it dont fall on top of you
The land on top of the hill used to be owned by the vyner family who used to reside in Bidston Hall.they created a private park /hunting area for their guests ,a wall was built running along park wood to create this area ,this wall was known as the penny a day wall as this is what the men building it where paid.There are numerous sets of steps and paths that run up through the wood from the hall and most of the wall is still there today running from the horse carving to the windmill

The rods or rhododendron gardens are /where behind the houses on Hoylake road and run from there up to boundary road. by all accounts they used to be quite a sight in the summer but like many things on the wirral the have been left to virtually disappear .

If you scroll back over this topic you will see the tonns of cement and the steel construction of the blocking of the entrance.
There is an entrance in the Rhoddendenron Gardens but this is back filled and welded shut. See our pictures with the water in the corridor as that is the steel door. But blocked by soil and i guess rubble.
If you read the topic you will see where the entrance on Bidston Hill Is. Even though that one too has been sealed.
It will take a bit of extra effort and plant hire now to get into any of the entrances IMO.
we was up ther the weekend lookin around an was speakin to an old man an he was sayin of an entrance near the houses he ment the one,s west of the cock pit we went lookin an i mean through the thick bush we found steps an bricks could be sumthing ? not sure yet tho we was approcimatly 30 meaters west of the cock pit down hill ?
