Help..the audi has been "diagnosed" faulty injectors..its the 2.5 v6 diesel..and hoylake audi are wanting nearly 600 quid to sort it..anyone know of anywhere i can get hold of injectors a bit cheaper than 240 quid?....

There is a place in Crewe that will clean and recondition injectors, ranges from £10 - £60 per injector iirc, it depends how they are "faulty" I suppose as to whether they can help of course. Arnt new injectors like £80 a piece, and needing 6 thats like £480 just for the injectors themselves? Sorry to hear it though fella  EDIT - Post 10,000 was about injectors lol.

The place is http://www.creweengines.co.uk/ I think - according to a guy on the MG Rover forums they do Rover L Series SDi injectors for around £10 for a clean or around £30ish for a recondition, per injector. Not sure if they will do your's or even still do it, but it may be worth seeing what they say after you got the full score from the Audi place.

Friend of mine did some work with injectors on Diesel VW's. Ive just sent him a mail to see if he has any replacements, or can recommend the best place to get new ones

Whats the engine code ?
If you can give me the 3 letter code I'll confirm.

right..apparently is an AKE engine code..its the 2.5 v6 diesel
there are 6 injectors..5 the same and ones dfferent..on the third cylinder and thats the one i need..its parts number 059130202F specifically..
been quoted 244 quid for a new part...just the ONE injector!
and about 130 for second hand one....

so they wanted 244 quid for the injector..plus 20 quid for a rocker gasket and then the rest was labour...not so auditastic!
but a whole lot cheaper than proper audi!

Guess what peeps...the injector was fubard...yup 244 quid for a new one and 3 hrs labour!
and the sodding thing needs taxing in less than a week and its overdue a service!...
im not a happy bunny......nor is my bank manager

yup...audi wanted a WHOLE lot more than that!
was very tempted to take the injector out of my mums a6 (its got the same engine) and swap it...but thats just naughty....
