1996 Volvo 850 T5 Auto Estate. Full CD spec (everything) 280 BHP with ECU re-map. 0-60 6.5 sec. top speed I've seen,157MPH. Lots of main dealer history. Why? getting too expensive to run on a pension (25 MPG) MOT Dec. 2008 (just done, no advisories) Tax, May 2008.

Hi, Take care; just because it's a manual, doesn't mean it's the R. The standard T5 came in manual too. the T5 was 225 BHP, the R was 250 BHP. With the Rica re-map, both deliver 280 or 305, the difference is that the 305 demands 98 RON, but the 280, like mine, is happy with 95 RON. That's why I settled for the 280. Good luck with your search. I'm looking at the other end of the scale; something like a Ford Ka.

Chris, get a classic VW campervan, would be good for your race travelling and your wiki visits.

Took a £100 deposit on the Volvo today. Sad, but looking forward to new challenges. A VERY senior member of the High Performance Club has reported that, while his Mazda MX5 was off the road having a new engine fitted, he had great fun driving a Ford Ka in "advanced" style. He said it was surprising how fast across country it was.
