when i open my car doors the interear light dosent come on but the beeping noise works, an i also have footwell lights (ford standed 1s)an they dont come on ether. its a escort gti (1998 model)
any help would be welcome

could be a bad earth connection
could be a fooked relay
do you know if your getting 12v to your lights?

Do you have a haynes for the car? The door sensors are obviously working to get the buzzer sounding, so the problem will be between where it detects that and the lights - and for that a wiring diagram will be needed

It usually works on a switched ground from the door switch. when the door opens the switch connects the ground and the 12V already present at the light completes the circuit, powering the lights. My guess is either something has been unplugged or a break in one of the cables to the lights.
