it was a free bump for him.

TBH I think they purposely out price tom dick or harry, or who would by point and shoot, and prosumer cameras.

In comparison, would you buy entry level Soundlab decks, if Technics SL's where the same price

fair game *penny drops* - some gear in djin is overpriced too... but still, ths seems extortionate (dunno the spellin and cant be arsed findin out) end of the day, photography is wot it is, i love it, just, if this is wot it costs to get into it and make any kind of career i'll pass

Lol of course it doesnt cost this. Ken Rockwell for instance has proven that great photography doesnt have to be expensive - see his review on a $150 camera vs a $5000 camera.

The reason a lot of professionals go for these types of camera's is because they need a certain amount of flexibility and precision, and cheaper camera's obviously do have limitations, mainly to do with lenses they can support to be honest.

I have had some great shots (well I think so anyway) with my camera, yet its only a £200 - £280 bridge camera (dependent on where you buy), with a £30 set of 2400mAh batteries and 1 hour charger and a £40 2GB XD picture card and a £20 monopod, which I have to admit I never even use.

I doubt these real high end camera's would give much of an improvement in quality when considering the price difference. But at the end of the day, my camera is only entry level and doesnt have the flexibility of these. I can get addon lens extensions for it, and I am lucky in the fact the sensor and built on lens is extremely high quality and starts from 28mm to 300mm and has features like manual zoom and manual focus ring etc to keep it within "touching distance" of a low end DSLR.

I personally wouldnt pay anything more then a few hundred quid for a digital camera, I cant ever see me needing a full DSLR, but then I am not trained (yet) in using a camera professionally and dont particuarly like using the full manual mode on my Fuji to warrant the move over to a DSLR.

As long as it takes great shots, it doesnt matter on the cost, just because something costs more doesnt mean it will make you a better user.

For instance, I can get better shots out of my camera then I can out of a beast like Totopop is selling, merely because I wouldnt be able to control the camera and use its features well enough

You could probably DJ on an old set of belt driven decks better then I could on set of Technics 1210's - just because you have the experience and knowhow with decks and I have rarely used them in my lifetime, preferring CD's and MP3's.

So you see, a lot of it down the photographer rather then the camera, so dont be put off by the stupid pricing of these high end beasts, because in all likelyhood, you will take better shots on a lower end camera and be more comfortable using it then one of these hehe.

Let me get this straight, you wanted a £1000 for it, but you offer it to us for £400 more than that, I thought we were all freinds on WikiWirral, lol

Thats the name of the Totopop game lol. He is usually hinting at it anyway on his sales lmao!

Make a cheeky offer, the worst that can happen is he can say no and offer you some moral guidance on the price he'd like to see you offering lol!

You should always list your price higher than what you want wink

If any of you are anything like me (a cheeky c**nt) it pays wink you will save a lot of money.

learn
Most people just sell an item for what they want for it ,this is wrong, because you will always get knocked down wink

It is also good to keep hold of old papers, if someone hasn`t sold a car after say, 2 weeks, 7 x out of 10 you will be able to offer at least £200 less and they will take it wink
