Have managed to make a adapter plate for the rs turbo throttle body which was welded onto the chopped rover plenum. Also have had the original rover inlet manifold flanged machined off to give me a clean square edge to weld a zetec flange on.
have you thought where the intercooler is going to go as the tb is going to be facing the rear of the engine, if not would it be able to rotate the rover inlet so the tb is facing the front so that you don't have to run alot of pipe from turbo to intercooler then to tb.
It doesnt really matter to be honest as I will be looping it around the back of the engine to the turbo and intercoolers. It impossible to get the inlet facing the otherway without major expense. As you have guessed am not using the crossover pipe anymore so if any1 wants one give us a pm. Just sprayed the plenum today and it looks original. Been to automotion today fitting the car back together. Fitted the bullet mirrors which look okay but hard to see out of will put some pics up soon.
yesterday I bought a end of roll carpet. Using the original horrid rubber mat that use to be in the boot I was able to create a pattern. I then sent it to castle carpets in wallasey where the stiched all the way around it for £8. Am well impressed with the finished item. It shown in position with my fuel cell and nos tank.
love the colour of the car. I see what you mean about it looking wet, looks great though.
where you keeping it now? still in automotion?
