Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has revealed he is in talks over a new contract that could tie him to Anfield for the rest of his career.
Gerrard, 26, is expected to sign at least a four-year deal worth about £120,000 a week after leading Liverpool to the Champions League final.
He said: "I'm in talks to extend my contract at Liverpool and I've never been happier with my football.
"I'd love nothing better than to get this contract sorted and signed." This is exceptional news for us reds fans, maybe this will finally show the rest of the world where his future lies if he signs this new deal. I sure hope he does, then his future will be secured alongside King Carra, and they are backbone of the current Liverpool sqaud.  BBC Sport Report

I'd barely earn that in 10 years, nevermind a week!!! It's rediculous how much money is involved in football, or any sport for that matter. Makes me wish I tried hard at PE  I'm not into football, but Gerrard is in my opinion Liverpool's finest.
