what work is involved in hooking it up to the car and how costly is it?

If you want to fit your own it is very easy, 3 wires, thats all.....
If you want any advice grab me at the next meet or pop into Autosafe Garage and i will show you.

im sure u just wire it up to the coil or somethin like that! not a hard job! and if u bought an after market one it would probably come with instructions aggy! and u know I will help ya ass!

Yeah I bought 1 for #25 from halfords, one wire to ya ignition one to ya negative or car body and the other to the negative terminal on the cars coil if ya need drawings and instructions I will rip the 1s out of this months revs that explain all and I will give ya it nxt time I c ya Punto Driver

Right, I fitted a tacho few months ago and its doin my nut in. Am takin my gauges out of the pod cos it looks **** and am mounting the tacho where my clock is on my dash - Heres tha problem
3wires One to illuminate ie sidelights One to Earth One to wire that goes to Ign module (i dnt have a coil on my car)
The revs it says am doin are wrong, i.e its seays am redlinein at 3k and i know this has something 2 do with the signal wire (2 Ign mod) Its as if it isnt getting a stong enough signal.
Any 1 help?

some of the have a setting switch at the back. This is to tell the tacho what cylinders your car has. This would then determine what signal strenght it needs. If we have time I will take a look at the next meet...

Its ok Maverick iv adjusted it to 4 cylinder, 1st thing I done!
