Here are 3 different addresses of the Caledonia on Cleveland St.
Which one is right?

This is listed as 209 Cleveland Street here showing it after it was bombed. Is this the same pub?

209, not listed, 1938 directory or 1911

So it seems the war time account and the 'what pub' info are incorrect.

The address is wrong.

The family the letter refers to,

I think we've identified numbering (or re-numbering) issues with Cleveland St before.
Also, the 1950's map would seem to indicate that this plot was next to No. 46, making it 44 Cathcart St & 237 Cleveland St.

Here is the portion of Cathcart St, 1938.

On the 1901 census, my wifes 2nd great garandfather live at 209 Cleveland Street. He was the publican at The Caladonia but i dont know if this was the same address.
On the 1881 census he was the publican at The Sun Inn.

There must have been renumbering in Cleveland St,

1894 & 1900 Directories,

209, Caledonia, Leonard Ray, 237, later years.

167, Great Western
