I remember reading that someone had ordered a taxi only for the price to be even more because they used a 7 seater because of a disability scooter or similar.

I'm looking for a taxi firm for a relative, that will keep the same price quoted. No disabilities just the normal luggage allowances x2 people travelling.

Pick up and collect Birkenhead / Prenton to Manchester Airport.
I would be pleased if you guys have any feedback.

I would normally drive someone there but due to prior commitments i can't do it but want to be sure they get a good fixed price and no worries on their return.

I thought it might be illegal to discriminate in this way, so I had a look at this:

It looks like Taxis and Hire companies ARE allowed to discriminate, but I am not a lawyer. Why not contact citizens advice? They will be able to tell you for sure, and may be able to recommend someone who will do it for no extra cost.

I know we must be careful about denigrating and naming poor service but last year I booked online agreed a price and time with a company on Wirral which came up on internet search very glossy website. They didn't turn and even when I phoned in a panic they couldn't send anyone. Thankfully a friend rushed us there.
On return I had reason to just jump a cab outside and its about £80-£100 quid back to Wirral ouch!.
Think Wiral Satellite are as good as any

Yeah i can ask the questions when i call them, just if anyone has recently had good service from a company, as quality of service and charges can change pretty quick, between firms.

Return, that's to be picked up 10 days later.

There is a direct train every hour from Lime St. at less than £18 return.

We have used Flightcatchers Upton for years very pleasant and efficent. They could not fit us in last year so we used Destinations also excellent.
Flightcatchers give written confirmation of pick up times and firm price.
