i dont see the thing with porsche enviers who slate the boxter for being for people who cant afford a 911. Everyone on this site has the car they have cos they cant afford a 911. I have an escort,cos i cant afford (without getting in debt or having to shop at netto) a cossie or scooby etc.

and as for it "looking like a boxster" that'd be cos all porsches look similar,and the fact its a convertable adds to that fact, but whats wrong with it looking like a boxster?? boxsters are nice looking cars,what'd u rather own, an MX5??

im not slating an MX5 at all, im merely saying that (in my opinion at least) a boxster is 20 times better than an mx5 and the 911 conv is better still, knocking someone whoo owns a boxster and calling them poor is god damn rediculous,its almost part of life today slating boxster owners,but u never hear of people slating F430 owners saying things like "ur too poor for an enzo"

just my opinion mate,u see it all the time,they always say it on top gear,when they feature boxsters,and a guuy at my work who's got one,the day he bought it i heard peeps giving him the "couldnt afford a 911 then?" speech,and they drive mk4 astra diesels and other tripe!!! shud wind their necks in, its the best car in the works car park after the holden HSV GTS imo

i could afford a porsche if i wanted to, but i refuse to pay the obscene insurance, i could afford to, but i dont want to - not yet.

my old man owns cars other than 911's because he thinks they look hideous.

boxster is a poor mans porsche is a stupid thing to say as poor men dont drive boxters, they just arent as affluent as the people who drive new 911's but at the same time 911's from years gone by can cost the same as a new mondeo, owning one doesnt make you rich - its all about personal preference.
