Update!

I have had the Unleaded head skimmed, and have now painted it gloss black replacing the red that it was before. I also painted my rocker cover gloss black at the same time. I'm waiting for a Cooper freeflow and alloy inlet manifold, and will fit it all at once. Im hoping the valve seals are all in good condition.

I have also sprayed the radiator bracket to neaten things up abit, its not the best job, but look alot better than before.

OMG yeah how embarrassing! haha I saw you 3 cars ahead, so chased after you then you vanished so I thought I'd go round w.Kirby again to see if you had parked up, found you in the private car park thought I'd stop and have a chat! You were like give us 5 mins.. 'fine yeah' . When I got back in the Mini, 5 mins later I clicked on! haha was like shittt ahh! So rang the g/f! decided it was best to go. Will have to speak again sometime , then the car wouldnt Idle as I hadnt set the carb up correctly, and the door wasnt properly closed when I got back in >.< haha!

every time I see your post you always making it more of a minter than it already is lol. you must be running out detailing now lol.

p.s Looks very nice and agree with everyone else about how good the bonnet respray looks well done

Nice Mini!

Started taking out each valve one-by-one yesterday as I found the valve compression tool in the depths of the garage. Will need to grind in and clean up the valves, the top hats look fine and can be re-used, so quite happy about that. My alloy inlet manifold has arrived, just waiting for my cooper freeflow manifold to arrive, along with a new coil. When I have it all I will proceed to take off the old head and de-coke the pistons, and build up the top engine with my new performance bits.
