Great month this month. Went on a rally down in Ross-On-Wye and found my first hammered coin.

WW2 officers shoulder pip

A more modern but nice button

Lead figure

New Brighton AFC supporters club pin/badge Seacombe

4 coins, 3 monarchs, 1 hole!

A load of pre-decimal coins

Foreign coins

Modern coins

1800's pencil sharpener

And......MY HAMMERED COIN!!!!!

Edward IV, first reign, light coinage, penny. Canterbury, King's Receiver (1462-4), rose in centre of reverse, extra pellet in one quarter

So had my oldest coin from the 1460's! Made up!! Hopefully more to come..........

Thanks for looking smile

Excellent, I bet all that hoard has given you a boost. Never heard of an old-ish Swiss coin getting dug up before, not being a maritime nation they didn't get around that much.

Thanks guys...yes its a great boost, just makes you want to get out and find more!! I thought the swiss coin may have been silver or at least 50% given its age, but its not frown

Its such a buzz to find something of that age Dilly, knowing it hasnt been handled in hundreds of years, and your the first person to see and hold it in that long!!

There is an old tip in the second part of storeton woods I came across a fob watch just under the service of the bottom path after a rainstorm may be worth a search

Your coin is really exciting. As Dilly says, just to hold it must be amazing. Is it a 'groat' ?

The soldier.....a little boy's lost toy.

Does this look like it ? Could be 35 (with legs) laugh
