hi I have a sumvision cyclone micro 1 media player at my caravan and it seems either needs an update or needs replacing wont play new formats like mkv files etc.. can anyone help or know of a budjet player I could replace with so I can watch my films etc... searched for new firmware with not much luck really

Have you considered a Nintendo Wii? They can be modified to be an all round media centre. They'll play video files from SD card, USB device or disc, and you can still play games. The only drawback is that its not HDMI although you can get something to convert it: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wii-HDMI-Converter-WII2HDMI-CONVERTER/dp/B007PY3ZPGI've got one for sale on here, I'm not pushing a sale, but you're more than welcome to pop by and see how it works.

If you like the product, then consider the version 2 http://www.ebay.co.uk/bhp/sumvision-cyclone-mkv-2About £20 Not sure why there is a version 2 but it may be for that very reason your having problems.
