that saxo is the gmc motorsport demo car think its in the region of 210 and 230 bhp has everything l.s.d, is fully stripped. i have seen the full video and that is an m3! m3s only do 60 in around 5.9 so not that quick considering!

It's the power to weight ratio thing going on, it'll take it off the line definately, but once you're into mid revs in 2nd or 3rd and it would be beasting past.
If that is an M3, I doubt he's trying very hard.
It is a nice car though, 230bhp is impressive, and keeping the 1.6 is a good idea, instead of turning it into a straight line only missile.

i'm always in awe of cars people have made proper rapid, but at the end of the day, youve gotta look at the actual better car! look at that car that did scooby at pod, but you'd still rather have the scoob wouldnt you! i mean, that saxo may be rapid and an inspiration to all saxo drivers, but i dont think it will have stopped the guy with the M3 from sleepin! cos he has got an M3!!

that saxo is quick as hell, just think, he managed to get into the middle of 5th gear in under 15 seconds that is in excess of (i reckon the 120mph mark) and it was an m3 he was racing, could have been an aweful driver "granny shiftin not double clutchin like ya should" hehe

oh and another thing, i am a saxo h8er even tho some can still look gorgeous i just h8 superminis,theyre not hot hatches, they r warm superminis. a hot hatch is a escort cossie and a civic type R that sort of car.no matter how fast they go it wont change my opinion, any car can be made to go fast, even a lada with a beast of an engine will go quick does that mean we shud love it? does it my batty

I've been doing a bit of research, and that looks like an M3 (it has the arches, slats, etc). If it's an E46 M3, it'll be putting out 340bhp.
I've seen an M3 blat a 280bhp Evo off the lights, so something isn't adding up, and the Saxo would be wheelspinning through the first three gears. I also think they're telling fibs on the Saxo bhp, superchargers generally put out 40% of the original output, so including the few engine mods it has, a 200bhp is more closer to the mark.

If anyone can post the full video, so it has the full quarter times on?...

Sorry to go on, but I'm really confused, I have nothing against Saxos at all.

A Citreon AX GT engine.

I have seen AX 4x4's, apparently citroen made some standard ones, bet they would shift with a decent engine in them.
