Its riddled with eels mate. Supposed to be getting endangered but the flow is riddled. I've had a 4lber. As for the reeds side they are in a few feet of water and it quickly goes very deep so be careful.

quote "at around 3am we were having a coffee and drying off in the tent and was just watching our nightlights whenwe both seen this huge lizard like thing come up in the middle of the lake and looked as if it was looking around we both jumped out the tent to see what it was then it went under came back up and done this back and forth across the middle of the lake 2 or 3 times i ran and got my led light and shined it at it but as i did it disappeared from view"

Can you see anything at 3am in the morning ? and what LED lights will shine across that size of water? Is it well lit up by the motorway spur?

never mind raking out and putting in a few pegs, i'd be putting up a dirty great fence in case that big lizard comes back. And to take a quote from a famous movie "You're gonna need a bigger boat".

It was probably the Birky Monster, though it doesn't usually venture that far from the Birket. You also need to watch out for the Leasowe Werewolf, as it has been seen around the Bidston Moss area.
