Have just recently put a load of cars through MOTs as I'm selling everything off.
Thinking back, I think I have only ever had one car pass without a fail in my life - on the face of it, I've not been paying 30 or 40 quid for an MOT, it's really 60 or even 70 for an MOT.
I've just put another car through, and again, fail and £20 retest fee on top of the £40.
Is there anywhere that does retests for no extra charge on the Wirral?

not within the first 14 days you dont £20 retest is stamped on any failure unless you are trade. This may have changed over the last few months but not to my knowledge .

This is where I always use as well - £50 may be more than the average, but you get a fair test! Cheaper places ofter lure you in with a cheap test so they can find faults to make money back elsewhere.

Manganese Autos (used to be on Manganese Marine site) now on Breck Road Wallasey, between Poulton Vics & the car wash. Brilliant honest service, never been charged a retest fee been going there for years!

They are spot on. Dont think I would use anywhere else tbh, like you say its a bit above average but its a good fair MOT and they are always willing to help.
