I have not or would not apply for any loans unless with my bank or building society so does anyone know if this is a scam to get me to ring this number and should I contact Police

Thanks Rudebox .tried that with all the number, then just o7584739129 came up with name and an address in SPELTHORNE its a vodaphone mobile listed on RUSCO TOMMY PHONE BOOK WEBSITE THEN TO a website one wild world,there are several comments, it wants you to register to use it.I will contact The A team on radio merseyside tomorrow to ask them to look into it for me .As my friend told me she heard about something similar on a programme last month.

The website is a loan group, as you probably guessed.
The phone number (don't ask) isn't registered to them but to a Rebecca Saunders, so it might be some sort of affiliate referral scheme sending the message to everyone in her directory (unless she's doing it herself).
I'd just ignore it, the same way as I do the "We have £3250 waiting for you after your accident...." type messages.
